When others are choosing to be players, this is what I'd do differently...
There was a time I was single for so long, prolly for 2 years or so.
I had a conversation with someone who isn't my friend by the way and he in his words advocated for dating multiple partners. He said it was fun.
Now what I couldn't understand was where the fun was in what he said.
Is it in deceiving different people that they're the only one your heart beats for and the only one you want to do life with?
Is it in going through the stress of showing up for different people at the same damn time dishing out promises that are fake?
Or is it in breaking their hearts by telling one of them or all of them that they're nothing but pieces in your game of chess.
The sad thing is, they were not too gullible to see beyond your lies. They just chose to trust and love you.
And when someone chooses to trust and love you out of their free will without coercion, it is a real blessing.
I wonder how some people choose not to realize this.
In a generation where all this is happening, I still believe that honest and reliable people who are not players still exist.
So yea, I'mma do things differently from the crowd.
