Después de ochenta años de existencia y las minusvalías propias de la edad, sumadas a la soledad producida por la desaparición física hace una década de su único compañero y la ausencia de descendientes, las esperanzas de una mejor vida para Prudencia son escasas.
La casa es una tumba donde vagan fantasmas y recuerdos que la mantienen con ganas de seguir y la apuran a abandonar un mundo que ha sido ingrato, donde los valores morales han ido desapareciendo y la misericordia de los semejantes es utopía.
Solo Clara, su hermana y amiga, también anciana, la acompaña esperando la muerte.

After eighty years of existence and the handicaps of age, added to the loneliness produced by the physical disappearance a decade ago of her only companion and the absence of descendants, the hopes of a better life for Prudencia are scarce.
The house is a tomb where ghosts and memories wander, keeping her eager to go on and hurrying her to leave a world that has been ungrateful, where moral values have been disappearing and the mercy of her fellow men is utopia.
Only Clara, her sister and friend, also an old woman, accompanies her, waiting for death.
