It was a moment of pure joy, one that I would treasure forever. My son, Princewill, had just started attending King's and Queen's Royal Academy, and although he had been going to school for a week already, he hadn't been able to wear his school uniform yet. The school are the ones that provides the uniform after parents might have paid for it. I have paid for the uniforms, but they weren't ready on time.
As a result, Princewill had been wearing casual clothes, or "mufti," to school. But finally, the wait was over. I brought home the uniform, and I couldn't wait to see Princewill in it. I helped him try it on, and as soon as the uniform was on his body, It was perfect. The colours, the fit, everything was just right. But what really made the moment special was Princewill's reaction.
He was beaming with excitement, posing in front of the mirror and striking different poses. He couldn't stop smiling, and his eyes sparkled with joy. We were all thrilled to see him so happy.
"Can I wear it to school tomorrow?" he asked, barely containing his excitement. I smiled and nodded. "Of course, you can. You'll be the sharpest dresser in school."
The next morning, Princewill put on his uniform again, and we took photos to capture the moment. He looked so grown up, so proud to be wearing his school colours. As I dropped him off at school, I could sense his excitement and pride. He was finally a part of the King's and Queen's Royal Academy community, and he couldn't wait to show off his new uniform to his friends.
As I watched him sit in his foundation one classroom, I exchanged a knowing glance. This was just the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Princewill's life, and we were honoured to be a part of it.
