—No me parece ofensivo, descuide usted, quizá un poco carente de creatividad expresiva, pero no ofensivo —señaló el detective Manggina.
Manggina caminó hasta la ventana principal de la habitación del hotel y pudo notar un postre sin terminar que reposaba sobre la mesa.
—Respondiendo a la pregunta, árbol nudoso es un ejercicio de relajación para espaldas adoloridas, como la de la víctima, que consiste en ubicarse cerca del suelo entrelazando las manos y piernas formando la apariencia de un árbol. La persona debe mantener esa posición durante varios minutos antes de sentir algún alivio a su malestar. El señor Jones adolecía la terrible molestia, y en un intento de ejecutar el ejercicio, resbaló y se clavó él mismo el abrecartas en el cuello.
Todos lo miraban asombrados, aunque en sus rostros era evidente su falta de convencimiento ante tan creativa solución.
—¿Sugiere usted que el señor Jones intentó hacer un ejercicio complicado portando un objeto filoso? ¿Por qué haría algo así? —preguntó la agente Piccard.
—La gente se desespera mi estimada compañera, y en su desesperación, cometen errores que a veces les cuestan la vida, como en este caso —sentenció Manggina dejándose caer en un sillón.
—¿Y por qué, según usted, estaba desesperada la victima? —preguntó el agente Suárez.
—Ahh, muy buena pregunta, la respuesta pudiera parecer un misterio, pero realmente es más simple de lo que creen —señaló Manggina y agregó—: observen el postre que está en la mesa, notarán que contiene mantequilla de maní, y hay un poco de la misma mantequilla en las pestañas de la víctima.
De nuevo, todos en la habitación lo miraron fijamente esperando el resto de su explicación.

-Are you suggesting that Mr. Jones tried to perform a complicated exercise while carrying a sharp object? Why would he do such a thing? -asked Agent Piccard.
-People get desperate, my dear colleague, and in their desperation, they make mistakes that sometimes cost them their lives, as in this case," said Manggina, dropping into an armchair.
-And why, according to you, was the victim desperate? -asked agent Suarez.
-Ahh, very good question, the answer might seem like a mystery, but it's actually simpler than you think," Manggina pointed out and added: "Look at the dessert on the table, you'll notice that it contains peanut butter, and there's some of the same butter on the victim's eyelashes.
Again, everyone in the room stared at him waiting for the rest of his explanation.
