Any party, get-together or celebration that includes food, also includes a bean stew in my country. It is part of our ADN, you put the beans on the rice or do it mixed called arroz con gris or simply congris. They are all good and tasty but the one cooked by your Grandma has a different flavor, and aroma than any other. I don't know why, but it is the fruit of years cooking and making the recipe better and better with more love and tenderness each time. You want to bring back memories of your childhood and nothing more effective that the9 moment all the family was sitting at the table tasting a good bean stew and chatting about life.
