Greeting Readers
I hope many of you are fans of Fell Dragon because an important clue is being dropped today. I hope you all enjoy the update!

Silens had noted the giant storm that had come through the area and wasn’t too particularly worried about Kay’s safety. She would have reached the village by the time the worst of the downpour happened and would have been offered shelter. However, as night had fallen and there was no sign of the girl, she was starting to get worried.
Kay’s mind was still adapting to the mental communication that Silens used, and it would be unlikely that the older woman could reach her. The night deepened and waned, only for Silens to stay up and stoke the fire, hoping that Kay would make an appearance. If she had been concerned before, she was starting to get scared.
With the birth of the King’s firstborn so close, it was highly likely that the King would soon make his appearance. Silens had no idea who sat upon the throne at this time, but she knew there had been several kings in the past who had no love for Shamans. She needed to make sure that Kay and herself stayed out of the way of the King, especially since this was the start of his reign and he still needed to produce his line, the very line that would one day produce Silens and her family. She needed to protect herself as well as Kay, for who knew what role she still had to play.
Now that the sun had started to lighten the glade in which their house stood, Silens threw an oiled skin over her head, ready to make the journey to the village herself. But then, there was a knock at the door.
Silens had been so worried about Kay that she had never sensed her return. She pulled the door open, ready to release hell on the girl for staying out so long, but she stopped dead when she saw her ashen and exhausted face.
“Mitis, baby. Fuck it, I’m tired.” She whispered as she shoved a bundle of cloth into the older woman’s arms.
Kay stumbled to her room and promptly fell over in bed. Silens looked up to see Mitis being carried by her father, and the mother close on hand. She ushered them into the one room set aside for patients.
Before Silens could ask anything, the three others immediately told a tale so insane that Silens understood why Kay was just about comatose in the next room. The boy had been born with the cord firmly wrapped around his throat. His tiny body was blue from not getting the blood and oxygen he needed.
Kay hadn’t hidden her skills in front of Mitis. Without waiting a second, she had loosened the birth cord, removed the mucus from the infant’s mouth, and poured life-giving energy into the infant. Mitis’s father, gifted with the ability to see the flow of energy, had immediately seen what she was doing. This wasn’t an ability that was known amongst their people, but he had said nothing, as his wife was trying to keep their daughter calm.
Every time it looked like the baby was grasping for life and Kay slacked off, it would plunge back into unconsciousness or stop breathing. Kay had spent the whole night breathing life into the infant until finally, finally, in the early hours of the morning, it had shrieked its entrance into the world.
Silens had calmed the family and set about making sure the mother and child were healthy enough, as it would seem Kay had poured all of herself into keeping the child alive and barely completed any of her other birthing tasks.
Once Mitis and her son were resting comfortably, Silens sent the parents off, knowing that they were eager to send a message to the King, to tell him that his son had arrived. Once they were gone, Silens immediately set about cooking something. Anything to return some of the energy that Kay had given to the child.
Between her various preparations, Silens took the time to position Kay in her bed fully and threw a thick skin over her. She was breathing shallowly, but colour had returned to her face. She would be sleeping for some time.
Once the food was prepared, Silens took some to Mitis, along with some tea to help increase her milk flow. Then she aided the young girl with feeding the infant. The sticky mess that had been the baby was finally clean, and Silens could see the downy whisps of light-coloured hair.
“Would you look at that. Your son may end up having the same-coloured hair as I and Kay.” Said Silens.
“Gatex.” Said Mitis.

Well now...playing around with time may have had a bigger impact than Saita ever realised.
