Greeting Readers
I have not had much time to write. I am so far behind in all my writing. Hopefully, this weekend I will have more time to concentrate on my writing!
Enjoy the update!

Matta muttered something under his breath. He was too young to have been officially invited to meet with those who were considered Elders. The first. Just like Shareik. This had been a convenient excuse when Shareik wanted to look in on Kay, one that Matta never questions. But this time, it had been an actual summoning. One which Shareik couldn’t shrug off easily.
“Very well. I am sure I could find something of interest to keep my attention.”
“See that you do.” Said Shareik with a small grin. “The more you learn, the quicker you will find your ability.”
Matta shrugged. He had already told the ageing Heavenly that he saw threads of fate, but the old man had dismissed him. That wasn’t a known skill amongst the Heavenly, so it was ignored.
“I will escort you to where you gather, then I will occupy myself with my other studies.” He said softly.
Shareik didn’t need the protection, but many of the First had disappeared as of late, and no one knew why. It was one of the reasons many of the Elders now had younger Heavenly at their sides. He nodded his head and then opened the Time corridors, stepping in before Matta followed him, and the tear closed behind them.
“We will part here. I will call for you when I am ready.” Said Shareik softly, as he already reached for his next destination.
Matta nodded his head and prepared his own transportation. Shareik watched him leave before travelling to where he needed to. Travelling was starting to become more difficult. He had noticed it soon after Matta had joined him. It felt like the energy provided by the slumbering Dragon was slowly diminishing. It was strange. The cage and the beasts that Edzeeker had designed were supposed to keep the Dragon sated, enough so that its power could be used by the Heavenly. Yet now it felt like there wasn’t enough energy to go around.
“Strange.” Muttered the Heavenly as he stepped into the area he had been called to.
It was a simple room; the Elders had always kept things simple. The room contained four walls, a floor and a ceiling of black stone, with a simple, large circular table in the centre of the room. There were no doors, no windows, and no form of decoration.
There were several Elders already waiting in the room, and that was when Shareik noticed something odd. Their robes were duller than usual.
Very strange.
When Shareik had taken his first breath. There had been a handful of Elders. They had grown to around twenty and had maintained that number for as long as Shareik could recall. But now, as the few who were in the room waited, it became uncomfortably clear that their numbers had been slashed.
“Four brothers have been devoured.”
The voice that spoke was the Eldest. The Heavenly who was born when the first Dragon drew its breath.
A murmuring stirred among all the other Heavenly who were gathered.
“And hundreds more of those under us.”
Silence. No one dared to breathe until one brother asked stoically, “The Dragon?”
“One of them.” He confirmed.
“What?” was the collective exclamation.
He raised his hand. Despite his age, he looked young. Thick black hair hung in a tight plait over his golden robe. A robe that was better suited to a warrior than the one that Shareik wore, as he considered himself a scholar.
“There is only one Dragon. There can only ever be one Dragon.” Said Shareik, scoffing at the notion that this basic fact could be wrong.
“I am not so sure anymore. Something is stirring in the dark. Timelines are collapsing, universes are being consumed.”
“The cage needs tighter security. The only way a Dragon can feed outside of the cage is through the beasts created by Shareik’s pet Dekai.” Said someone else.
“The cage is sealed. The beast within it sleeps.”
“Then the beasts are the problem.”
“Removing the beasts will cause the Dragon to get hungry, and we all know what happens when we have an angry, hungry Dragon.” Said Shareik calmly.
“What else could have the abilities to consume us?” demanded the Eldest, directing his question to Shareik.
Shareik hadn’t expected that, and he quickly needed an answer, even though he had no idea what was going on.
“Could we be disappearing because the Dragon is weakening?”
More silence, except this time, the gathered Heavenly looked at each other uncomfortably.
“Are our brothers being devoured, or are the weaker ones succumbing because the Dragon hasn’t fed well?” pressed Shareik.
