Noémie and her best friend Lya been friends for almost a decade. But, one cold winter night, Lya dies because of cancer. Noémie did not know what to do without her best friend. She remembered her by a song they both liked. Whenever Noémie played that song, she remembered what a great ride it was to be friends with Lya. She missed her forever. She often dressed up and played that song and danced for both herself and her best friend Lya. She cried afterward, but she did it anyway because she did not want to forget her memory.
One of her best memories was one summer when they pretended to be little kids, and rode a carousel. They felt alive. They were laughing and had a lot of fun. Everyone stared at them because the carousel is for children. It was indeed a great ride.
Noémie wished she had kissed Lya good buy before she was gone forever. She regretted not doing that.
