Our body is a very impressive organism. Nature, in all its wisdom, allowed us to have a series of functions that work orderly to keep us alive, to make us walk, to be able to reason, and to be able to interpret all the environment that surrounds us, to be able to build things in the world. And all these pieces are, like, ordered, as if they were pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectly with each other.
We have, for example, our heart and our most important organs, which are protected by ribs. Our ribs cover, right? All that part of the pancreas, the stomach, the heart, making these vital organs be protected, not only in our body, but in the body of other animals and plants. Plants, for example, have different defense mechanisms.
Some have thorns that could be said to be like ribs that protect the plants from being torn or that they could be grabbed, because they have that function. And they also protect them from getting to the sap or the nectar, which is like the vital flow, or the blood that runs through the plants. So I think we were organized or built in a really smart and very functional way, because even the smallest expression or the smallest root of bacteria or microorganisms, the cells that are in our body, have their own defense mechanisms.
And maybe they won't have ribs, but they do have defense mechanisms that serve as ribs. In addition to the fact that ribs also make us think in another common place, which is about which many writers have been talking about for today's proposal. And it is the amount of food that is made precisely with the ribs.
Here that evokes a very pleasant flavor in my mouth, it makes me salivate, and of course it makes me remember the ribs that are sold around here in the Chinese restaurant, which are with sesame seeds, and honey, and garlic, and they are really exquisite. But that's what I can say about the ribs that are made to protect us, and they were created by an intelligent organism, by someone, be it nature, or be it a supreme being who controls the universe, who built us in this way so that we had this protective armor and protect our vital organs.
Nuestro cuerpo es un organismo muy impresionante. La naturaleza, en toda su sabiduría, permitió que tengamos una serie de funciones que trabajan ordenadamente para mantenernos con vida, para hacernos caminar, para poder razonar, y para poder interpretar todo el entorno que nos rodea, para poder construir cosas en el mundo. Así que creo que fuimos organizados o construidos de una manera realmente inteligente y muy funcional, porque incluso la más mínima expresión o la más mínima raíz de bacterias o microorganismos, las células que están en nuestro cuerpo, tienen sus propios mecanismos de defensa.
Y quizás no tengan costillas, pero sí tienen mecanismos de defensa que sirven como costillas. Además de que las costillas también nos hacen pensar en otro lugar común, que es sobre el cual muchos escritores han estado hablando para la propuesta de hoy. Y es la cantidad de comida que se hace precisamente con las costillas.
Aquí eso evoca un sabor muy agradable en mi boca, me hace salivar, y por supuesto me hace recordar las costillas que venden por aquí en el restaurante chino, que son con semillas de sésamo, y miel, y ajo, y son realmente exquisitas. Pero eso es lo que puedo decir sobre las costillas que se hicieron para protegernos, y fueron creadas por un organismo inteligente, por alguien, ya sea la naturaleza, o ya sea un ser supremo que controla el universo, que nos construyó de esta manera para que tuviéramos esta armadura protectora y protegiéramos nuestros órganos vitales.

Es muy interesante este tema que aborda porque cuando lo miramos desde un punto de vista filosófico tenemos necesariamente que pensar si se trata de evolución o diseño inteligente, en lo personal y dado lo que por una cuestión de mi profesión de médico he tenido que estudiar, cada proceso biológico funciona como un mecanismo de relojería, cuesta creer o pensar que el azar por sí sólo hays logrado semejante perfección en cualquier mecanismo o función biológica que se estudie, ni aunque pasen trillones de años.
