Yes, Steem is still alive and well. But Hive and Steem are two different platforms now. Your account exists on both - with the same keys. But what you post to Steem will not show up on Hive and vice versa.
Some decided to only post to Hive, others only post to Steem, and others, myself included, post on both platforms. I am mainly keeping up the prompt and Actifit goes to both automatically....
