En un pequeño pueblo a las afuera de la ciudad se ubicaba una comunidad donde convivían menos de 50 personas, ese pequeño pueblo estaba cercado con grandes paredes de piedra y una puerta grande de piedra donde siempre se encontraban tres guardias de seguridad con lanzas, arcos y flechas como defensas ante cualquier amenaza. En el pueblo, casi todos eran creyentes, pero solo dos familias no lo eran.
Las cuales bajo el mandato de pueblo tuvieron que abandonar el pueblo por la fuerza, ya que se rehusaban a convertirse en creyentes. Las dos familias con sus caballos y carrozas recogieron todo lo que podían y se marcharon en búsqueda de un hábitat donde pudieran convivir sin obligarlos a creer en algo que no quieren. Al no poder mover sus casas que estaban construidas con barro y madera, se llevaron herramientas para construir un nuevo hogar.
Las dos familias consiguieron un lugar adecuado para una nueva vida, pero había recorrido tanto terreno que se les hizo de noche. Durmieron como pudieron y esperaron al alba para desmantelar todo y comenzar a talar la madera para un nuevo cobijo. Los hombres tenían una tarea y las mujeres otras entre todos se ayudaban para construir al menos un hogar donde pudieran pasar los días mientras se expandían. Tan solo un mes después lograron construir una casa y establecerse, el agua no era impedimento, cerca había un manantial donde se abastecían y la comida tampoco era problema, aunque no les quedaba mucha reserva, con el poco dinero que les quedaba y los corderos y chivos que criaban se podían mantener un tiempo más.
En búsqueda de comida un padre y su único hijo varón se adentraron en el bosque cercano para intentar cazar un animal para variar de comida. El arma de caza era un arco y flechas. En el camino el padre le iba enseñando a su hijo los trucos para tener éxito a la hora de cazar un animal. En el trayecto avistaron a un conejo, el padre le pidió a su hijo que no se moviera, y que guardara silencio, él de mientras tenía cargada la flecha en el arco y apuntando, suspiró tomó aire y disparó la flecha, pero no acertó el tiro por muy poco, el conejo escapó y se acercaron a buscar la flecha, pero al acercarse el padre notó una extraña presencia, a unos 28 pasos estaba un cuervo mirándolo fijamente, el hijo se asusta y grita, espantando al ave y el padre pensando en las señales que el cuervo podía estar dándole.
Al caer la noche regresan a casa sin éxito. Los hijos de la otra familia salvaron la noche, habiendo encontrado una docena de manzanas que les podía dar alimento, esa noche y para la mañana.
Las hijas no solo encontraron las manzanas, sino que también hallaron una cabaña sola, abandonada y muy tenebrosa, pero no le contaron nada a los padres. Cuando las dos fueron con el hijo de la otra familia a buscar agua le comentaron y debía guardar el secreto, pero ellas no contaban con la astucia de él, quien temprano antes del alba se había escapado de la casa con el arco y las flechas del padre para cazar e ir a buscar la cabaña. Las dos hijas habían sentido cuando él se había despertado, lo siguieron sin que se diera cuenta y lo interceptaron abajo para evitar que fuera solo. Él se negó a que lo acompañarán, pero ellas lo amenazaron con gritar para despertar a sus padres y contarle lo que iba a hacer, no le quedó remedio que aceptar y se adentraron los tres en el bosque.

El bosque era muy grande y fácil para perderse, para adentrarse había que subir por un sendero que había señalizado luego el camino desaparecía y se volvía a encontrar en la cúspide, luego se comenzaba a bajar un poco hasta que se hallaban en una planicie con pequeños altos y bajos, ahí era donde se perdía cualquiera, los árboles de robles con varios metros de alto y copados hacían que en ocasiones entrara muy poca luz. Los tres habían caminado por mucho tiempo hasta que encontraron un conejo blanco el cual decidieron cazarlo, para llevárselo a casa y demostrar que fueron de caza y no a la aventura al bosque.
El niño les dice a las hermanas que guarden silencio y esperen aquí mientras él se acercará más para cazarlo. Tal cuál como el padre había hecho con el hijo el día anterior. Las hermanas le dicen que tenga mucho cuidado y que apunte bien para no fallar. El niño toma el arco las flechas carga el disparo y con el ojo trata de calcular, pero pocos segundos antes de que dispare se aparece el cuervo a pocos pasos del niño, dándole a este un susto, haciendo que dispare la flecha y fallando. El niño se queda viendo el cuervo hasta que el cuervo emprende vuelo y carro rápidamente a buscar la flecha.
Al tener la flecha en su mano, se da la vuelta y va con las hermanas que le advierten que se dé prisa porque viene el cuervo hacia él. El niño corre y se tropieza con el pie de un árbol, se cae y se golpea la cabeza dejándolo inconsciente por un tiempo, cuando intenta levantarse se da cuenta que la bruja estaba encima de él, las hermanas emprenden huida, al intentar salvar al niño y ver cómo el cuervo se transformó en la bruja, pero cada una tomó un lugar diferente. Estas dos corrieron y gritaron pidiendo auxilio para ayudar al niño.
Mientras todo eso sucedía dentro del bosque, fuera de él, los padres estaban angustiados por sus hijos sin saber a dónde se habían ido o quien se los había llevado, los padres se adentran en el bosque para buscar a sus hijos y ellos comienzan a gritar llamándolos, pero no reciben respuestas, mientras más adentro caminaban más gritaban con las esperanzas de recibir respuestas, pero no fue así. Había caído la noche, y seguían gritando hasta que a lo lejos escucharon una voz de una de las hijas, ella seguía gritando hasta que se encontraron, asegurando que el niño lo había secuestrado una bruja mientras cazaba y la otra había corrido para escapar, pero no sabía hacia dónde.
Los padres no creyeron el cuento de la bruja y se preocuparon más aún al saber que de solo tres había una nada más, la otra hermana llegó minutos después donde había visto como la bruja mordió al niño y luego se lo llevó arrastrado, ella no persiguió a la bruja, y luego salió corriendo en dirección contraria a la bruja para intentar conseguir a su hermana o la cabaña, lo que primero que sucediera.
Al encontrarse con sus padres les comenta sobre la bruja, que siguen sin creerle, pero ellas deciden contarles a ellos sobre la casa de la bruja, donde y como dieron con ella, los padres seguían sin creerles y decidieron ir el otro día para investigar. Pero no sucedió así, la bruja por la noche dejó al niño semi desnudo en la puerta de la casa y se fue.

Cuando al otro día despiertan y las hermanas salen en búsqueda del agua se encuentran el cuerpo del niño y rápidamente llaman para auxiliarlo. Enseguida lo acuestan en una cama, mientras lo atienden los padres notan que tenía algunas mordeduras en el cuello, brazos y pies.
Los padres notaban que por las mordeduras no emanaba sangre y tampoco se veía reciente las heridas, le colocaron una manta y lo dejaron descansando sobre el suelo, mientras los padres lo observaban de pies a cabeza por si mostraba alguna señal de movimiento o reacción, las hijas fueron a buscar el agua. Al llegar lo primero que notaron fue que el cuervo estaba bebiendo agua, ellas se congelaron por un momento, y decidieron ignorarlo, llenaron los envases y al irse el cuervo estaba frente a ellas, el cuervo chilló y las niñas corrieron hacia atrás, pero estaba el niño sin rostro, se asustaron dejaron el agua y corrieron a casa a contaron lo que habían visto.
En casa el niño seguía igual, las niñas contaron lo vivido y no le creyeron, ellas le dijeron a su padre que las acompañara para que viera y le creyeran, pero en el sitio no había nadie, recogieron el agua y se fueron a casa nuevamente, en el camino voló sobre ellos el cuervo, y apareció una niña sin rostro frente a ellos, el padre no logro ver más que el cuervo, y las niñas asustadas le decían al padre que estaba la niña frente a él y que se alejara. Él dijo, niñas por favor dejen de imaginarse tonterías y continuemos, en ese instante aparece frente al padre la bruja, le rasguña la cara y lo muerde haciendo que se desplome y las niñas no pudieron huir, del suelo brotó unas raíces que las arropó y desaparecieron junto con padre.
Mientras eso sucedía el niño comenzó a moverse y tartamudear palabras que no tenían coherencia alguna, el niño se levanta, abre los ojos y mira alrededor, se desploma y vuelve a recuperar la consciencia, ahora solo repetía el nombre de las niñas y el padre, eso hizo que la madre se angustiara y comenzó a preguntarle al niño que le había pasado, el solo mencionaba nombres hasta que volvió a caerse. La madre de las hijas no sabía qué hacer y aquellos no regresaban, la madre del niño le dijo tranquila vienen en camino, ella le dijo no puedo estar tranquila, algo les sucedió, la bruja le hizo algo al niño y seguro mis hijas y mi esposo están sufriendo ahora, la madre le dice no seas tonta, las brujas no existen.
El padre del niño se levanta y sin mediar palabras se aproxima a la puerta para salir cuando la esposa le dice ¿a dónde vas? Él le dice a buscar al resto, ella le responde no lo hagas, de seguro vienen de regreso o tuvieron un pequeño inconveniente por el camino, el insiste y la madre de las niñas se levanta y les dice, te acompaño, la madre del niño les dice si salen ¿quién me ayudará con el niño? La madre de las hijas le responde; solo iremos a ver si les pasó algo, y regresaremos.
Abren la puerta y salen, pero no la cierran, en ese momento la puerta se cerró y voltearon, pero no prestaron mucha atención al volver la mirada al camino ven el cuerpo de las niñas y el padre, con las mismas mordeduras del niño. Al tocarlos para ver si tenían signos vitales, escuchan una voz femenina que les dice no toques, ellos se detienen y voltean la mirada, estaba una señora sin rostro, el hijo a sus pies y pensaron que la bruja había acabado con el niño y la madre. La voz le pide que se levanten y miren al cielo, al hacerlo la bruja sin rostro los rasguña por la espalda y los muerde a los dos.
De esta manera la mujer había cobrado la vida de sus hijos y la de sus acompañantes, haciendo justicia frente a la infidelidad de su marido y ahora iría por el pueblo del cual fueron sacados.
ENGLISH
In a small village outside the city was located a community where less than 50 people lived, that small village was fenced with large stone walls and a large stone gate where there were always three security guards with spears, bows and arrows as defenses against any threat. In the village, almost everyone was a believer, but only two families were not.
They had to leave the village by force, as they refused to become believers. The two families with their horses and carriages gathered everything they could and left in search of a habitat where they could live together without forcing them to believe in something they did not want. Unable to move their houses that were built with mud and wood, they took tools to build a new home.
The two families found a suitable place for a new life, but they had traveled so far that it became dark. They slept as best they could and waited for dawn to dismantle everything and start felling wood for a new shelter. The men had one task and the women others helped each other to build at least one home where they could spend their days while they expanded. Only a month later they were able to build a house and settle down, water was not an impediment, nearby there was a spring where they were supplied and food was not a problem either, although they did not have much in reserve, with the little money they had left and the lambs and goats they raised they could maintain themselves for a while longer.
In search of food a father and his only son went into the nearby forest to try to hunt an animal for a change of food. The hunting weapon was a bow and arrows. Along the way the father was teaching his son the tricks of the trade to succeed in hunting an animal. On the way they spotted a rabbit, the father asked his son not to move, and to keep silent, while he had the arrow loaded in the bow and was aiming, he sighed, took a breath and shot the arrow, but missed the shot by very little, The rabbit escaped and they approached to look for the arrow, but as they got closer the father noticed a strange presence, about 28 steps away there was a raven staring at him, the son got scared and screamed, scaring the bird away and the father thinking about the signals that the raven could be giving him.
At nightfall they return home without success. The sons of the other family saved the night, having found a dozen apples that could give them food, that night and for the morning.
The daughters not only found the apples, but they also found a lonely, abandoned and very scary cabin, but they did not tell their parents about it. When the two went with the son of the other family to fetch water they told him and he was to keep the secret, but they did not count on his cunning, who early before dawn had escaped from the house with his father's bow and arrows to go hunting and look for the cabin. The two daughters had sensed when he had awakened, followed him without his noticing and intercepted him downstairs to prevent him from going alone. He refused to let them accompany him, but they threatened to shout to wake their parents and tell him what he was going to do, he had no choice but to accept and the three of them went into the forest.

The forest was very large and easy to get lost, to get into it you had to go up a path that had been marked, then the path disappeared and you would find yourself back at the top, then you began to go down a little until you were in a plain with small high and low, that was where anyone would get lost, the oak trees with several meters high and covered with trees made that sometimes very little light came in. The three had walked for a long time until they found a white rabbit which they decided to hunt, to take it home and show that they were hunting and not adventuring in the forest.
The boy tells the sisters to keep quiet and wait here while he comes closer to hunt it. Just as the father had done with the son the day before. The sisters tell him to be very careful and to aim well so as not to miss. The boy takes the bow and the arrows, loads the shot and with his eye tries to calculate, but a few seconds before he shoots, the raven appears a few steps away from the boy, giving him a scare, making him shoot the arrow and missing. The boy stares at the raven until the raven takes flight and quickly flies off to fetch the arrow.
Having the arrow in his hand, he turns around and goes to the sisters who warn him to hurry because the raven is coming towards him. The boy runs and trips over the foot of a tree, falls and hits his head leaving him unconscious for a while, when he tries to get up he realizes that the witch was on top of him, the sisters take flight, trying to save the boy and see how the raven transformed into the witch, but each one took a different place. These two ran and shouted for help to help the child.
While all this was happening inside the forest, outside, the parents were anguished for their children not knowing where they had gone or who had taken them, the parents went into the forest to look for their children and they began to shout calling them, but they did not receive answers, the deeper they walked the more they shouted with the hope of receiving answers, but it was not so. Night had fallen, and they kept shouting until in the distance they heard a voice of one of the daughters, she kept shouting until they were found, assuring that the child had been kidnapped by a witch while hunting and the other had run to escape, but she did not know where to.
The parents did not believe the witch's story and were even more worried to learn that of only three there was only one, the other sister arrived minutes later where she had seen how the witch bit the boy and then dragged him away, she did not chase the witch, and then ran off in the opposite direction to the witch to try to get her sister or the cabin, whichever came first.
Upon meeting her parents she tells them about the witch, they still don't believe her, but they decide to tell them about the witch's house, where and how they found her, the parents still didn't believe them and decided to go the other day to investigate. But it did not happen, the witch at night left the child half naked at the door of the house and left.

When they woke up the next day and the sisters went out to look for water, they found the boy's body and quickly called to help him. They immediately put him on a bed, and while attending to him the parents noticed that he had some bites on his neck, arms and feet.
The parents noticed that there was no blood coming from the bites and the wounds were not fresh, they put a blanket over him and left him resting on the floor, while the parents watched him from head to toe for any sign of movement or reaction, the daughters went to get the water. When they arrived the first thing they noticed was that the crow was drinking water, they froze for a moment, and decided to ignore it, they filled the containers and when they left the crow was in front of them, the crow shrieked and the girls ran back, but the boy had no face, they got scared and left the water and ran home to tell what they had seen.
At home the boy was still the same, the girls told what they had seen and they did not believe him, they told their father to accompany them so that he could see and they would believe him, but there was no one there, they collected the water and went home again, on the way the crow flew over them, and a faceless girl appeared in front of them, the father could not see anything but the crow, and the frightened girls told the father that the girl was in front of him and that he should go away. He said, girls please stop imagining nonsense and let's continue, at that moment the witch appeared in front of the father, she scratched his face and bit him making him collapse and the girls could not run away, from the ground sprouted some roots that wrapped them and disappeared along with the father.
While this was happening the child began to move and stutter words that had no coherence, the child gets up, opens his eyes and looks around, collapses and regains consciousness, now only repeated the names of the girls and the father, that made the mother was distressed and began to ask the child what had happened, he only mentioned names until he fell again. The mother of the daughters did not know what to do and those did not return, the mother of the boy told her calmly they are on their way, she told her I cannot be calm, something happened to them, the witch did something to the boy and for sure my daughters and my husband are suffering now, the mother tells her do not be silly, witches do not exist.
The father of the child gets up and without mediating words approaches the door to leave when the wife says to him, where are you going? He says to look for the rest, she answers him don't do it, surely they are coming back or they had a small inconvenience on the way, he insists and the mother of the girls gets up and says to them, I accompany you, the mother of the child says to them if they leave, who will help me with the child? The mother of the daughters replies; we will only go to see if something happened to them, and we will come back.
They opened the door and went out, but did not close it, at that moment the door closed and they turned around, but did not pay much attention when they looked back to the road they saw the body of the girls and the father, with the same bites of the child. When touching them to see if they had vital signs, they hear a female voice telling them not to touch, they stop and turn their eyes, there was a faceless lady, the son at her feet and they thought that the witch had finished with the child and the mother. The voice asks them to stand up and look at the sky, as they do so the faceless witch scratches them on the back and bites them both.
In this way the woman had taken the lives of her children and their companions, doing justice for her husband's infidelity and now she would go after the town from which they were taken.
