RE: Freedom, Censorship, & You: The Ultimate Guide (Emma's Dilemma) Pt. 2

Beautifully wrapped up and concluded. It's rare to see all perspectives looked at and you've done so very tactfully.

I'm curious, now, what happens in 2035 with regards the reward pool? How will things change?

Thank you kindly. I really love when more people consider more perspectives, so I do my best to nudge that along. Glad it seems to have been effective!

I'm new to Hive so I'm not aware if they have any plans or not, likely the witnesses and whales here may know more.

Starting with the network's 16th hard fork in December 2016, Hive began creating new tokens at a yearly inflation rate of 9.5%. The inflation rate decreases at a rate of 0.01% every 250,000 blocks, or about 0.5% per year. The inflation will continue decreasing at this pace until the overall inflation rate reaches 0.95%. This will take about 20.5 years from the time hard fork 16 went into effect.

That's from the Hive Official FAQ. I imagine like any business, once the time is up they'll pivot to an alternate model or hopefully the Hive token is worth so much by then it almost doesn't matter, etc.

Food for thought.
