It was hot and dry in scorching sun. All of them were standing in the queue ready to jump but no one dared to be the first to dive in the air, towards the burning land and sacrifice itself for the earthlings to bring an end to their sufferings. It's been a year no drop of rain has dropped on that land. All the trees and animals were desperately waiting for the rain, to quench their thirst and wash their burning beings, to heal their suffering.

It was like sacrificing oneself to end the suffering of others. Then all of a sudden one drop of water plunged itself to the air and dived down towards hell and kissed the parched ground. Than followed behind it drop by drop all of them, showering the blessings of life to the dieing land, animals and trees, setting the example of bravery and sacrifice by giving their lives to save the lives of others.
It was like a celebration on the land which has long been silenced by drought. Every being was dancing in the rain. The trees outstretched its branches welcoming every drop of rain but no one knows what brought about this rain. No one acknowledged the sacrifice of those who brought the end to the sufferings of earthlings.
Same happens every day as we keep on living without knowing who we owe our life to and without thanking our parents, saviors and God, how blessed we are!
Great story! We do tend to take things for granted, so this a good reminder.
