11:49PM THOUGHTS -WHY I KEEP COMING BACK TO HIVE

in Freewriters3 days ago

It’s 11:43 PM and I’m still on Hive when I should probably be sleeping. But here I am, scrolling, typing, thinking out loud.

When I first joined, I thought Hive was just about posting and cashing out. Quick post, quick upvotes, done. That mindset didn’t last long. The posts that actually stayed with me were the small, messy ones.

A guy talking about using his rewards to buy notebooks for kids on his street.
A lady sharing how 2 HIVE bought medicine for her mom.
No filters, no big speech. Just real life.

That’s why I’m still here past midnight. Hive doesn’t feel like Instagram or TikTok where everyone’s performing. It feels like a group chat where people actually mean what they say. Even if you post when nobody’s online, someone will come back in the morning, read it, and leave a comment that makes you feel seen.

I’ve had nights where I almost quit because my numbers were low. But then I remember the 12 comments I got on a post about helping a neighbor. None were big accounts. But those comments made me want to post again the next day.

Maybe that’s the point. Hive is slow, human, and a little messy. And that’s why it works.

So I’m curious — what keeps you posting on Hive when the rewards are small or nobody replies right away?

Thanks @hivebuzz 🙏 Grateful for the support from Hive Naija family. On to 100!

Not sure what keeps me coming back, cause I haven't had any real connection, I haven't felt it just yet. I'm just fine with sharing my art portfolio here, getting those little tips from time to time doesn't really move me though it's encouraging to see and know that someone sees you and is willing to support you. That's how I feel sometimes and I just keep showing up whenever I can, although it hasn't been easy.

It cool to read that you have something that keeps bringing you back to hive, that's good and you should hold on to that, till the rewards start coming in like you desire, all the best mate!

Thanks for being honest @mrlane 🙏 I feel you on the “haven’t felt the connection yet” part — it took me a while too.

Sharing your art consistently is already a big deal. Sometimes the connection comes from the people who quietly check your posts and leave tips, even if they don’t comment much.

Keep showing up. Your portfolio deserves to be seen, and the right people will find it. Appreciate you dropping this here.

Alright. Thank you for encouraging me too, I appreciate it.
I hope you find a bigger audience worth your time too.

Really appreciate that @mrlane 🙏 Wishing the same for you — your art deserves the right audience, and it’ll come with time.

Let’s keep showing up for each other. Drop your work anytime, I’ll check it out.

Sure 💯
