Sounds so much like my family! Drink - the great destroyer of families and so much more. I'm sorry you had to go through this, and all the stuff that probably happened for the 20-some years before. I know you don't drink heavily if at all, but do you have siblings who do, or did? I have my troubles with the stuff, and have four siblings who do, too.
Sorry to hear that. It seems that dysfunctional families are the rule, happy ones the exception, and drink so often a contributing factor. I've never had an alcoholic drink nor have either of my two siblings, but so often the opposite is the case.
