It is very obvious that John was the main witness of the incident but Bola keep saying that John wasn't there.
How it all started, Bola a young black boy in his 20s lived in a compound with some other people living there as well, John is also a tenant living in the compound as well.
With lots of other tenants so what happened was that you know in most compounds with many tenants there are many case of thieves, as in a person may keep something and when he or she comes back may not see it again
So miss Esther who was also a tenant there mistakenly keeps her toothpaste outside and went inside then after a while when she came out she couldn't see it again
So she raises an alarm and all the tenants came out as she shouted who took my toothpaste here please return it back to me.
And since some few weeks past John had a fight with bola so in other to get his revenge John immediately said that Bola is the one who took the toothpaste.
And the landlord came and called Esther the victim who owns the toothpaste, called Bola as well as John out for questioning.
Still John keeps saying that Bola is the one that took the toothpaste that he is sure of it then the landlord said can you justify to it and John said yes I can.
Bola on the other hand keeps saying that he knows nothing about what John is talking about that he's innocent, and John immediately said shut up you theive and Bola replied can you justify the lie you just said No! Because you have no prove.
After all struggles John was unable to give definite facts meanwhile Bola keeps pleading his innocence while miss Esther on the other hand keeps shouting for his missing toothpaste
Then since the landlord wasn't sure of who took it he made a general announcement that all the tenants should contribute money and buy miss Esther a new toothpaste for peace to rein.
This is all just because of toothpaste. The thief is rewarded and the rest pays the bill. To me, it feels a bit strange, no justice at all.
