Maggie was constantly seeking for methods to increase the sustainability of her garden. She eventually learned about the advantages of composting. To make her own compost, she began to gather food scraps, yard trash, and even paper goods.
She observed how her compost pile developed into a lush, healthy soil as the months went by. Her flowers grew brighter than ever before, and her vegetables flourished. Maggie felt proud of the trash reduction and environmental protection efforts she had made.
One day, the new neighbour next door moved in. Maggie quickly imparted to him her expertise in composting, but he showed no interest. He continued to discard his food scraps since he considered it to be an inconvenience.
Maggie was unable to suppress her disappointment. She was aware that even little actions could have a significant effect. Though she was aware that change wouldn't come quickly, she was content to play a small role in transforming the planet into one that is more sustainable, one compost pile at a time.
Maggie buscaba constantemente métodos para aumentar la sostenibilidad de su huerto. Con el tiempo se enteró de las ventajas del compostaje. Para hacer su propio compost, empezó a recoger restos de comida, basura del jardín e incluso artículos de papel.
Con el paso de los meses, observó cómo su pila de compost se convertía en una tierra exuberante y sana. Sus flores crecían más que nunca y sus hortalizas florecían. Maggie se sentía orgullosa de sus esfuerzos por reducir la basura y proteger el medio ambiente.
Un día se mudó el nuevo vecino de al lado. Maggie no tardó en transmitirle sus conocimientos sobre compostaje, pero él no mostró ningún interés. Siguió tirando sus restos de comida porque lo consideraba una molestia.
Maggie no pudo reprimir su decepción. Era consciente de que incluso las pequeñas acciones podían tener un efecto significativo. Aunque era consciente de que el cambio no se produciría rápidamente, se conformaba con desempeñar un pequeño papel en la transformación del planeta en uno más sostenible, pila de compost a pila.
