21 September @mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2166: alien flea market
"Here, Jane! We should check their wares out and see if they have what we're looking for!"
The one called was then dragged by her arm as she watched her friend, Juno, subsequently talk the merchant's ear off for whatever it was she was looking for.
Juno, as Jane quietly observed from her friend's side, had undergone quite the celestial change since her divorce to her ne'er-do-well ex-husband. After the galactic trip Juno went on, the young woman now glowed as if a newly blossomed flower in Spring.
She however, felt like the titular plain ol' Jane, feeling close to overwhelmed standing in this alien flea market, had the effervescent glow coming off Juno not been enough to tether her right where she stood.
Though watching Juno have the time of her life gushing over the next shooting star she was planning on chasing next, Jane couldn't help the smile that slowly graced her face. Perhaps there was room for herself too to grow.
