I breathe in the fresh air
of the day that's just dawning.
Stillness fills my soul
of peace, of pure sounds.
The scent of dew
on the green grass.
The song of the birds,
sweet symphony...
There, sitting in the old house
that keeps my secrets as a child,
the greatest joys
and the coldest solitude.
A warm ray of sunshine
stops on my cheek,
kisses the withered skin
And I feel that I am still alive.
