In the ninth year of the reign of King Uther, it was decreed that a total of thirty seven Ferls be banished from the Eloid Realm, with no stipulated length of time, until they prove their loyalties by honouring the Lord of the Eloid Realm with an alien sacrifice...
....
They found me "out back", as they are fond of calling that hideous place that smells like a Ferl's sour tooth. Actually it was the little one who had found me, the one they call Beatwiecse. I had only been banished for a few Ferl minutes, and was busy trying to adjust to my strange new environment when the little one poked her head in the space between the walls behind which I had hidden.
It was only pure luck that I had just transformed my shape into a near resemblance of the creature I had earlier seen just before crawling behind the wall; a creature I was to later find they called a dawg.
Dawg; the name sounded dirty and degrading to me, but it wasn't my cup of tea. Besides they didn't call me that, as my transformation was hardly perfect, same as all things I ever did. It was a wonder how I had managed to survive on Eloid Realm this long before banishment.
Beatwiecse had made strange noises that day, and two more of her kind had appeared. These ones were much bigger, and one of them had too many facial hair. I didn't understand the sounds they made, but with the body movements I observed, it seemed like the the little one was trying to convince them of something, something I was certain which concerned me.
I simply sat and watched as they continued their interaction. If I was stronger I would have performed the necessary sacrifice there and then, but the journey through realms had weakened me.
After a short while of exchanging strange noises and more understandable body movements, the little one had picked me up and had taken me inside the place where they live. I was terrified at first, I didn't want to die as a sacrifice in a strange realm, and for a strange Lord. Then she had poured some sort of liquid substance all over my body, and scarred me all over with an object with many pointed parts.
I feared for the worst, but I could do nothing, I had a while yet to fully regain my strength. So I was completely surprised when the little one brought me a grimy substance, and demonstrated that I ought to eat it. It was then that it hit me; all the while I had feared for the worst, I was been treated kindly by the little one. These creatures, or rather, this creature did not intend to use me as an object of sacrifice. They were rather treating me with love. They were not like the Ferls afterall.
So I put down my defenses, laid my fears to rest, and ate. I slept next to Beatwiecse that day, and the day after, and the day after too. Slowly I began to regain my strength, and my abilities returned with it.
I have now been here for nine Ferl months, and through this time, I have been shown nothing but love by these creatures; a love purer than any, a Ferl could ever give.
But then again there is no place like home, and today my strength has returned in full...
.....
The night was quiet... Doors were locked, curtains were drawn... Even the birds slept, and the wind was calm...
Under sheets, two bodies lay, side by side... One arm stretched, the other stirred...
From under the sheets came one muffled cry, and suddenly the night lost its quiet...
THE END
Beatwiecse: Beatrice
Dawg: Dog
What would you do if you found a strange new animal out back behind your house?
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers!

How sad that this creature couldn't learn to love! A Ferl must be evil indeed.
