Algo que he notado al buscarlo es que los marcadores de páginas también han evolucionado por llamarlo de alguna manera, siguen los comunes de cartulina o una simple hoja que denote donde nos quedamos en un libro para luego seguir leyendo en otra oportunidad. He visto que algunos traen mensajes, otros son de colores con líneas y adornos para decorarlos y he visto uno que me ha llamado la atención de resina epoxica, que no sabría decir si son las mejores o que, pero para marcar un libro no creo que sea la mejor opción, aunque se vean muy bonitas.
No solía usar marcadores extravagantes, mis marcadores eran una simple hoja, que también me servía para anotar las palabras que desconocía y luego buscarlas en el diccionario, esto sobre todo era cuando nos mandaban a leer en el colegio por libros y traer las palabras de casa para hacer unas dinámicas la clase siguiente. Mientras estaba en casa solía marcar algunas por la noche, en la tarde si las escribía y las buscaba luego de terminar, y en caso de terminar una pagina y continuar la lectura en otra terminaba para tener idea de dónde empezar.
Me pasó varias veces que había terminado de leer y no recordaba donde había terminado si en el punto de esa misma hoja o en el punto anterior y había saltado directamente a la siguiente, por eso opté por terminar la lectura en la siguiente hoja dependiendo de donde estuviese el punto y anotar en la hoja leer desde la mayúscula anterior para continuar, de esa manera no me perdería nada. Me pasaba que me saltaba algún párrafo y perdía una pequeña historia, si era muy distraído.
Yo admiro a las personas que para dejar un libro y luego acordarse donde lo dejaron sin necesidad de un marcador son verdaderamente increíbles. Hay incluso quienes lo dejan entre medio de una página y lo peor de todo es que se acuerdan de la historia meses después, a mí sinceramente se me olvidaría o recordaría una parte.

Something that I have noticed when looking for it is that the page markers have also evolved to call it somehow, follow the common cardboard or a simple sheet that denotes where we stay in a book and then continue reading another time. I have seen that some of them have messages, others are colored with lines and ornaments to decorate them and I have seen one that caught my attention made of epoxy resin, which I can't say if they are the best or not, but to mark a book I don't think it is the best option, although they look very nice.
I did not use extravagant bookmarks, my bookmarks were a simple sheet, which also served me to write down the words I did not know and then look them up in the dictionary, this was mostly when we were sent to read at school for books and bring the words from home to make some dynamics the next class. While I was at home I used to mark some of them at night, in the afternoon I would write them down and look them up after finishing, and in case I finished a page and continued reading in another one I would finish to have an idea of where to start.
It happened to me several times that I had finished reading and I didn't remember where I had finished if at the point of that same page or at the previous point and had jumped directly to the next one, so I chose to finish reading on the next page depending on where the point was and write down on the page read from the previous capital letter to continue, that way I would not miss anything. It used to happen to me that I would skip a paragraph and miss a small story, if I was too distracted.
I admire people who can put a book down and then remember where they left off without a bookmark, they are truly amazing. There are even those who put it down in the middle of a page and the worst part is that they remember the story months later, I honestly would forget or remember part of it.
