This is my 5-minute freewrite. It's a little late, but here's the prompt post.
A warrior wiped sweat from his brow. He stood at the back of an assault on the ogre city, resting. It had been a long battle, and bloody. Both sides had major casualties.
He was at the edge of a empty village, where they had been attacking from, with two of his comrades, watching the battle at a distance. Then an ogre jumped out from behind a building, wielding a bloody blade. This things just pop out everywhere, he thought. It had long fangs and was a hulking mass of muscle, with only enough brains to take orders.
Panic filled his chest. How can we fight one, I took my armor off! He pulled his greatsword out from its sheath, but before he could swing it, the ogre swiped at one of his brothers, slamming him into a wall. "No!" The warrior cried.
He slashed at the ogre's throat, decapitating it. It's body fell to the ground, and he rushed to his brother's side. His arm was bent the wrong way, but other than that he seemed okay.
He grabbed his sword, and charged headfirst into battle, ready to slay every ogre.
