The soldiers of an enemy nation seek to capture the mana stone mines of the town of Aragon. First, they attack the castle of Viscount Oen in the neighboring town.
Episode 46. Ambush and War Won
Minho casts invisibility magic and sneaks into Viscount Oen's castle.
The castle is full of enemies, and Viscount Oen and his men are imprisoned in the dungeons.
You are outnumbered and outgunned, and it would be reckless to attack to find Viscount Oen's castle.
The enemy's goal is to take the mana stone mines, so they will attack the Aragon estate sooner or later.
Minho returns to where his allies are camped and calls for the leader of the Lian Knights.
Minho: "Viscount Oen's castle has fallen to the enemy, and Viscount Oen has been imprisoned in the dungeons."
Knight Commander Lian: "What do you plan to do then?"
Minho: "We're outnumbered, so we'll have to ambush them and take them by surprise rather than fight an all-out war."
Minho and the Templar look at the map and find a place to ambush, wait for the enemy, and launch a surprise attack.
Templar Rian points to a spot on the map.
Knight Templar Rian: "Viscount, this canyon is the one we must pass through to reach the Aragorn estate. It's a good place for an ambush."
Minho: "I see, then we'll retreat to the ambush site as soon as it's light."
Knight Commander Lian: "Understood."

At daybreak, the Aragonese knights and soldiers retreated to the ambush site.
Then they sent scouts to monitor the enemy's movements.
Viscount Oen's Castle
The commanders of the Imperial reinforcements, Count Eric's troops, and Baron Albert's troops gather for a meeting.
Count Eric: "We will march on Aragon tomorrow."
Baron Albert: "Yes. The men's morale is up, let's go and take it."
Captain of the Reinforcements: "I want you to leave only a few soldiers here."
The plan to leave only a few soldiers at Viscount Oen's castle was made.
In the morning, the enemy mustered his men and set out for the Aragonese estate.
After walking for half a day, they came to a place where the Aragonese soldiers were in ambush.
A scout from the Aragon estate reported to Min Ho that the enemy was coming.
Minho: "They say the enemy has reached the canyon ahead. Let's ambush them so they can't see us."
Knights, soldiers, and mages are ambushed above the canyon, watching the enemy army pass through the bottom of the canyon.
Enemy soldiers enter the gorge.
Baron Albert: "This is a little spooky, I don't think they're ambushing us here."
Count Eric: "Viscount Minho will never think we're attacking, so let's take it quickly."
Minho shouted as the enemy entered the center of the canyon.
Minho: "Attack with guns"
At Minho's shout, all the knights and soldiers drew their bows and fired arrows. The mages threw fireballs. Minho, a 7th circle mage, also threw a huge fireball.
The enemy soldiers were confused by the arrows and fireballs falling over their heads, and some began to flee. Some regrouped and began to attack.
The Aragonese surprise attack left many dead.
Count Eric and Baron Albert retreated on horseback. The enemy soldiers who could not get out of the ravine in time were killed.
The victory of the ambush in the gorge led the Aragonese soldiers to shout in triumph.
"We won. Wow!"
Only Count Eric, Baron Albert, and a few soldiers were able to reach Viscount Oen's castle.
The enemy's plan to seize the mana stone mines by force had failed.
Minho organized his soldiers and mages and set out for Viscount Oen's castle.
Minho arrived at Viscount Oen's castle and fought the remaining soldiers of the enemy nation.
He fought and defeated the enemy soldiers and was able to rescue Viscount Oen.
Minho and his soldiers returned to the Aragorn estate. Stella and Deacon Robert rejoiced at the news of their victory. The people of the manor also came out to celebrate the victory.
Minho realized that the battle had improved his soldiers' skills.
Minho distributed generous prizes to the soldiers who participated.
The victory filled the troops with morale. Eager to learn and train harder, the soldiers stayed at the training grounds and trained late.

민호는 투명 마법을 시전하고 오엔 자작의 성에 몰래 잠입했다.
적들로 성안에 가득했고 오엔 자작과 그의 부하들은 지하 감옥에 갇혀 있다.
적들이 성을 차지하고 있는 만큼 수적으로 불리하고 오엔 자작의 성을 찾기 위해 공격하는 것은 무모한 짓이다.
적들의 목적이 마나석 광산을 차지하는 것이므로 조만간 아라곤 영지를 공격할 것이다.
민호는 아군이 야영하고 있는 곳으로 돌아와서 리안 기사단장을 호출한다.
민호 : “오엔 자작의 성은 적에게 넘어갔고 오엔 자작은 지하 감옥에 갇혔다.”
리안 기사단장 : “그럼 어떻게 하실 계획이신가요?”
민호 : “수적으로 불리하니 전면전 보다 매복해서 기습 공격을 해야겠어요”
민호와 기사단장은 지도를 보면서 매복하여 적을 기다리다 기습 공격을 할 장소를 찾았다.
리안 기사단장이 지도의 한 곳을 가르키며 말한다.
리안 기사단장 : “자작님, 이곳 협곡은 아라곤 영지를 가려면 꼭 거쳐야 하는 곳입니다. 이곳이 매복하기에 적당합니다.”
민호 : “그렇군요. 그럼 날이 밝는대로 매복 장소로 후퇴하죠.”
리안 기사단장 : “알겠습니다.”

날이 밝자 아라곤 기사와 병사들을 후퇴시켜 매복하기 장소로 왔다.
그리고 정찰병을 보내 적의 동태를 살피게 했다.
오엔 자작의 성
제국의 지원군, 에릭 백작의 부대, 알버트 남작의 부대 지휘관들이 모여 회의를 한다.
에릭 백작 : “내일 아라곤 영지로 진군하죠.”
알버트 남작 : “네. 병사들의 사기가 올랐습니다. 얼른 가서 점령하죠.”
지원군 수장 : “이 곳에 일부 병사만 남겨놓고 출발했으면 합니다.”
일부 병사만 오엔 자작의 성에 남겨두고 출발할 계획을 세웠다.

적군은 아침이 되자 병사들을 소집하여 아라곤 영지로 출발했다.
반나절을 걷다가 아라곤 영지의 병사들이 매복해 있는 곳까지 왔다.
아라곤 영지 정찰병은 적군이 오고 있음을 민호에게 보고했다.
민호 : “적군이 협곡에 앞에 도착했다고 합니다. 우리도 안보이도록 매복하죠”
기사와 병사, 마법사들이 협곡 위에 매복하여 협곡 아래 쪽을 통과하는 적군을 바라보고 있다.

협곡에 적군의 병사들이 들어선다.
알버트 남작 : “조금 으스스 한데요. 설마 여기서 매복하고 있지는 않겠죠.”
에릭 백작 : “민호 자작은 우리가 공격한다고 꿈에도 생각 못할 겁니다. 빨리가서 점령하죠”
민호는 적군이 협곡 한 가운데 들어서자 큰 소리로 외쳤다.
민호 : “총 공격하라”
민호에 외침에 모든 기사와 병사들은 활을 이용하여 화살을 쏘았다. 마법사들은 불 덩어리를 던졌다. 7서클 마법사 민호도 거대한 불덩어리를 던졌다.
적군들은 자신들의 머리 위로 떨어지는 화살과 불덩어리를 보며 혼비백산하였고 일부 도망치기 시작했다. 일부는 전열을 가다듬어 공격하기 시작했다.
아라곤 병사들의 기습공격에 많은 병사들이 죽어갔다.
에릭 백작과 알버트 남작은 말을 타고 후퇴하였다. 미쳐 협곡에 빠져 나오지 못한 적군들은 죽어갔다.
협곡에서의 매복 기습공격으로 승리하자 아라곤 병사들을 승리의 함성을 외쳤다.
“우리가 이겼다. 와 ~~”
에릭 백작과 알버트 남작, 일부 병사만 오엔 자작의 성에 도착할 수 있었다.
마나석 광산을 무력으로 탈취하고자 하는 적국의 작전은 실패하였다.
민호는 병사와 마법사들 정비하여 오엔 자작의 성으로 출발했다.
민호는 오엔 자작의 성에 도착하여 적국의 남은 병사들과 싸웠다.
적국의 병사들과 싸웠고 승리하여 오엔 자작을 구출할 수 있었다.
민호와 병사들은 아라곤 영지로 돌아왔다. 스텔라와 로버트 집사는 승리의 소식에 기뻐하였다. 영지민들도 나와 전투 승리를 축하하였다.
민호는 이번 전투를 통해 병사들의 실력이 많이 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다.
민호는 참여한 병사들에게 후한 상금을 나눠 주었다.
전쟁승리로 인해 병사들은 사기가 충만하였다. 더 열심히 배우고 훈련하고자 병사들은 수련장에 남아서 늦게 까지 훈련하였다.
