The wind songs

Like every night for some time now, a whisper travels in the wind. A kind of quiet song, almost imperceptible, that ascends and repeats as prayer the same lyrics, something about high lands.

A sigh, a murmur. A longing transformed into psychophony that at times settles in the heart of the listener and makes him feel his own.

An urban legend tells that some time ago, some mountain people went down to the city, nobody knows why, but they sang a lot during the nights, it seemed a kind of rehearsal of a chorus of voices.

The thing is that there was no scheduled event nearby. No one knew why they were singing, no one knew them and they didn't try to get close. But, you could tell by the type of voice coupling and the form of the singing that it was mountain people. Their lyrics only spoke of how close the moon was, of the mysteries of the forest, and of not knowing how to live without the cold that unleashes the howl of the wolf that everyone invoked as a ritual for the wind.

(End of five minutes)

Then, they simply stopped being seen entering or leaving the space they inhabited. And, although they aroused curiosity, they also inspired a cautious distancing because the appearance of those who managed to make out in the distance did not seem entirely human, or at least that was whispered.

It was even speculated that some people disappeared in their last days of stay. But everything was based on imagination, because no one reported anyone missing, as far as was known, and some came to believe and comment that the whole story about these people was nothing more than superstition, because people mythologize what they do not understand and what frightens them, and something takes care of reproducing the events as if they were pulled by tweezers from the curls of time.

But, in reality, the songs are heard... subtle, very subtle, as if they were sung by the wind, and the skin of the one who hears gets like goosebumps and shakes and imagines things...
