Poetry is so personal and yes, some people that know you might feel in a way or another because of your poetry. On the other hand, poetry is not necessarily about oneself and people are hard in getting this one. And where to put all your truly thoughts and emotions then? That's too bad and I have also been there and even had some personal disputes about it...well, in the end I think you need courage to be yourself even if other might not admit it. Poetical writing shouldn't kill anyone in the end...
