The smell of an old book

in Blockchain Poets5 days ago

In the library of prehistoric documentaries
Are books bath in dust and web fibers
Yet keeper of stories long forgotten
And bricks of current reoccurring events

The smell of those old books still lingers
Their scent lives on
Not concealed by the passing of time
Nor the dirt that forms a shadow around it

When mystery hits and wisdom fails
The scent of an old book light up a path
To a time not known by many
A beginning where it all began

The smell of those old books still lingers
Let your curious mind wander through the shelves
To find a meaning where least expected
The archeologist court where the smell of old books lives on

Old books are a journey into the past where we can rediscover the reality we have lost. It's nice to say hello @dwixer.

You're right.
That's what makes readers leaders

Books have an amazing effect on our lives, and you have captured their essence very nicely in this poem.

Their scent lives on
Not concealed by the passing of time
Nor the dirt that forms a shadow around it

Thank you 🫂
