I feel you flirting, in this poem, with that odd hunger we have for that which we love, or whom we love...where caring becomes swirled with needing. You did not go into that obsessive prison that lovers can sometimes put on the object of love so I feel like what we are reading is how you have navigated those straits between loving for your own and for your lover's needs. Nice!
Thank you! One of the key points is not allowing fear or perfectionism to make you try to hold too tightly to control even if that self destructive voice inside is telling you to do just that ☮️😌

It reminds me of the give and take in a relationship. That point when you and your partner find a balance between closeness and giving space where it is needed.
