Just wanted to try my hand translating this famous Tang Dynasty poem by Li Bai. In case you didn't know who Li Bai was, here's a brief introduction:

Yes I actually prefer your rendition, much more concise and poetic. I can relate to the lone poet finding nature as his solace. I'm so glad the poet's words continue to ring forth through your pen and perspective.
Hey there Jin, I was born and raised in South Africa so used to the conditions. Most of the country is a mess, broken down and poor as well as dangerous due to criminals. I live in one of the few safe places left, which is also the wealthiest and most beautiful tourist holiday town by the sea. The nature of South African beaches is awesome and the climate on the south coast is the best in the world. The nature and climate are the only treasures that are world class and make it a pleasant place to live.
Bravo!
Just back from Paris and looking for some literature loving wine drinking idlers myself 😁.
But I can't complain. When I look at the world I have the good fortune to be safe and fed.
You? How are things for you?
