To-and-fro
Up and down
Side to side
And all around
Arise with forehead to the sun,
Join the blooming rites of Spring
Fuel a fire in these spirits
Let them feel the warmth within it
Our faces hidden behind shadows
Leading a procession to the grove
We’ll wrap the night in silky blessings
Touching lightly then caressing
Like they used to in days of yore
Where the sacred fires burn
We lose all sense and reason
With markings on our skin
Of stars that quickly turn
Dance brightly in the wind
Celebrate the changing of the seasons
To-and-fro
Up and down
Side to side
And all around

Thank you! I appreciate your comment. I was out and about when I took this picture. Then at home, I brainstormed the images and feelings it conjured up. I put on some music to get in the mood too. Then the poem grew out of that bit by bit. I wrote three different versions, but this one resonated with me the most.
Just the same way it resonates with us.
I like that you also use music to set the mood while being creative.
