In ancient days, when Rome held sway,
A king arose, in a golden display.
Mighty and regal, his presence esteemed,
A ruler destined to reign supreme.

From humble birth, he climbed the throne,
With iron will and power to own.
His name resounds through the ages long,
The Roman king, both fierce and strong.

In Caesar's vein, he took his place,
A leader born of noble grace.
With laurels wreathed upon his brow,
He vowed to Rome, to honor and avow.

Beneath his rule, the empire thrived,
Its boundaries vast, its foes deprived.
He forged alliances, with iron hand,
Expanding Rome's dominion, across the land.

Legions marched, with disciplined might,
Crushing resistance, in valorous fight.
Conquering nations, with strategic might,
This Roman king, a beacon of light.

From the Colosseum's grand facade,
To marble halls, where emperors trod,
He governed with wisdom, justice, and law,
Uniting subjects, from every flaw.

Beneath the azure Roman sky,
The king ruled, with watchful eye.
His people prospered, their spirits raised,
By his enlightened rule, their loyalty praised.

But power's burden takes its toll,
A king's soul weighed, with hidden role.
Intrigue and betrayal, shadows of might,
Testing the strength of a ruler's light.

From senators' whispers to palace intrigue,
His foes conspired, the kingdom besieged.
Yet the Roman king, unbowed, stood tall,
Facing challenges, one and all.

With cunning wit and a lion's roar,
He foiled the plots, and settled the score.
His crown unyielding, his spirit aflame,
The Roman king, the embodiment of fame.

In victory and defeat, his reign was told,
Through epic battles and stories bold.
A symbol of Rome's might and glory,
This king etched in eternal story.

So let us raise a toast and sing,
To the Roman king, our sovereign king.
His legacy echoes, through history's scope,
A legend enshrined, in eternal hope.

A poem with a flavor of Rome. Beautiful verses dedicated to the supreme leader. I have always been passionate about reading about the Roman Empire.

Thanks for sharing.
Good day.

This is pretty good! I know how hard it is to write such a tidy ballad, and how much work you put into it. Which king are we talking about? I know nothing of roman history.

I can't tell from this line if it's Caesar or one of his heirs

In Caesar's vein, he took his place,

Anyway, I'm sending you a tip because I missed this before its payout.
