Generous Neighbor shared a Mooncake

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY7 days ago (edited)

I'm surprised to receive this snack from my mother, she said it was given by our neighbor, oh how I like mooncakes. Of course, I like its taste and flavor.

Our Taiwanese neighbor's wife a sweet Filipina shared mooncakes to us, she is very kind and generous, as a matter of fact since they became our neighbor she is not only sharing food to us but also other things too, she is so thoughtful and charitable.

While I was eating my share of mooncake, there was a twist of flavor inside, I was so surprised while eating it halfway I noticed something yellow in the middle of it and it was actually the egg yolk. It was my first time to eat a mooncake with whole egg yolk on it.

I remembered I joined a Mooncake festival years ago, the event includes night run sponsored by the Rotary Club whose chairwoman happened to be also our neighbor. The Mooncake festival was organized by a Chinese community in partnership with the Rotary Club Night fun run event.

The Night fun run was the first part of the event then followed by the Mooncake festival wherein a raffle like game was played then the players will win a Mooncake as a prize and it comes in different sizes depends of the level of the game played.

It was a very fun night, I received a finisher's certificate and I also won a big size Mooncake as a prize. I never expected to win a jumbo size Mooncake in playing the game. I was excited to bring it home for my family to share it with them. I like Mooncakes and receiving Mooncakes as a prize won from a game or generously given by a neighbor is extra special. Do you like Mooncakes too? You can share your Mooncake story with me in the comment section. Happy reading Hivers!
