Sometimes, the smallest choices like switching your laundry detergent or shampoo can lead to the most meaningful connections. This week, I made a simple change that turned into something unexpectedly heartwarming.
I’ve been thinking about changing my usual household brands lately. I’ve always used Ariel for laundry, Downy for fabric conditioner, and Sunsilk for my hair care. But with my supplies running low, I figured it was the perfect time to try something new.
That’s when I remembered one of my neighbor friends who offers PERSONAL COLLECTION products as part of her side hustles. I reached out to her last night, and luckily, she has everything I need on hand! This afternoon, I received the following items:
• TUFF Powder Laundry Detergent
• SOF &MMMMM Fabric Conditioner
• Nature’s Way Aloe Vera Shampoo & Conditioner
She was so happy, not just because of the sale, but because even though I’m still relatively new in the neighborhood (just over a year since I moved from Manila), I chose to support her business. And when I told her I’d be ordering from her regularly if she has what I need, her joy was contagious.
I’m officially switching brands, not just for the products, but for the purpose. Supporting someone’s hustle feels good, especially when it’s someone you see in your own community.
This wasn’t just a brand switch. It was a reminder that every purchase can be a chance to uplift someone. So here’s to clean clothes, fresh hair, and even fresher connections. Sometimes, what’s beyond the bubbles is what really matters.

I like the personal collection product too like dove lotion and also the tuff for the toilet cleaner. I do not used their detergent powder because for me it's expensive compared to the brands in the supermarket.
