This is the follow-up to my last post about how we spend our half-day without electricity.
Our afternoon continued when we were about to take a little rest.
As we were getting comfortable, our cat Hunter also sat in the corner.
And you know how he looked?
Yeah. A complete makeup! 😆
His eyebrows and cheeks were perfectly highlighted.
He looked like a cat version of an '80s fashion model. Lol.
I couldn't help but laugh the moment I saw him.
And you know who did it? It's my sister-in-law!
She's surprisingly skilled at doing makeup for cats. 😆
After that, we decided to head over to my parents' house to pick up some coconuts for cooking.
Their property has a wide area filled with coconut trees.
So it's always convenient to just go over there whenever we need coconuts.
And as you can see, a bunch of coconuts are still covered in their husks.
So to remove it, my hubby used the coconut husker.
Are you familiar with this? This is a traditional tool used for husking coconuts quickly.
It has a sharp metal blade fixed to a sturdy base.
Actually, my hubby was not very experienced with it, but he gave it a try.
And happy to say, he managed it pretty well.
He struggled a bit, but he finished three fresh coconuts, the ones that we brought home.
Then, we spent the rest of the afternoon upstairs, where the weather was much more pleasant.
Staying indoors for too long without an electric fan or air conditioning, is incredibly hot.
So we just rolled out a mat on the upstairs floor, grabbed some snacks for my little one to enjoy, then relaxed and watched the sky. That's how we passed the time while waiting for the electricity to come back.
And fortunately, at 5 pm, the electricity was restored!
Yey!
So we happily went back inside, continuing our evening with the electric fan and air conditioning. 😌
So yeah, that's how my blogs end.
