If they're particularly excited and can catch on quick and don't require a ton of work to get them started then maybe part time is doable... also probably easier for us if they want to start part time but are willing to move to full time at some point.

That's true, people usually take time to get started and once they are accustomed to the code it's like super quick for them to add any feature
