Hehehe, great post! I have used threads in the past (there it's possible to see only threads of people you follow by the way, as I saw it being mentioned in the comments). Nowadays I utilize both threads and snaps, I loke em both. Why both? Just, because it are different people who utilize it.
As mentioned it would be great if all different front-ends would be shown in the same container somehow. Not sure if that's possible / wanted by the front-ends though...
