The same thing happens to me haha, when we know something new that can affect us always unleashes a new fear, even I am one of those who do not eat raw or undercooked meat at all 🤣🤣.
Another anecdote is that as a child I ate unwashed fruits from the trees in the street, but one day I got an amoebiasis that had me hospitalized for a couple of weeks, since then I always wash vegetables or fruits very well before eating them. After the amebiasis my stomach was never the same again.
