Hi All!
I'm Nastia - one half of Demystifying Science. We're building a channel that combines insightful examination of scientific phenomena, the philosophy of science, and futurism. Most of what we've done so far has been blog posts and long-form interviews (an hour min, natch).
The website has all of our writing on everything from the nature of electricity to the evolutionary history of the female orgasm. A good illustration of the podcast can be found here, with our conversation with Isaac Arthur, of SciF and Futurism with Isaac Arthur.
Recently we've decided add something lighthearted to the channel, and to have some fun with Micky and Quinn, our Alien Humanologists. We've decided to release a short skit, like the one that follows, every day for the next few months in addition to our regularly scheduled programming:
It would be great to hear what folks think about the stuff we've made so far, suggestions, comments, criticisms. Our end goal is to save the world by helping people make sense of confusing phenomena. To that end, we've got some interviews lined up with folks that are studying closed loop agriculture in outer space, medical physiologists that are studying Wim Hof (the #iceman), academic researchers on infowarfare, and a scholar of identity politics in context of religious and political uprisings.
It's been a crazy ride, and we're dedicated to following what we - and our audience - are interested in, rather than chasing the whims of the algorithm. So let me know in the comments what you think, even if you think it sucks!
I am very much into the Wim Hof method, I m always interested in the scientific approach to it. Fascinating subjects on that channel.
The puppets are highly entertaining and change the context so much! So interesting... Good job!
