I guess this puzzle of the addition of numbers should be an easy one to solve. But wait the twist in the puzzle is that you just need to use the Number 8 only and add it up in a manner that when you total up the sum should be 1000
Let's take an example; I'm using the number * as follows::
8 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 32; which is not the correct answer...
You need to Add up 8 in a manner that the resultant is 1000; it's that SIMPLE... Can you do it?

- Step 1 The Numbers in the equation which are tilted need to be removed from the equation. For example, let's see the first equation.
The tilted number is 13; so remove 13 from the equation
we are now left with the number 47
Add 4 + 7 = 11
- Step 2 In a similar fashion let's resolve the equation in question::
Remove 89 from the equation we are left with the number 32
Add 3 + 2 = 5
Hence the Answer to the Math Brain Teasers 19:: Maths Equation Puzzle? is 5

88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8
888+88+8+8+8=1000
This is the most simplest answer.
88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 88 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 1000
I got the same as chemistry-tutor. Do
888 + 88 + 8 + 8 + 8. Adding 888 with 88 gives 976. You then need 24 to get to 1000 which is done from adding 8 3 times.It is more like 1000/8 =125. So if you add 8 ,125 times you will get 1000.
So what are best possible option?
888 = 111 times 8
88 = 11 times 8
111+11 =122 and you are short of 3 8's.
so simplest is 888+88+8+8+8
