When I used to fly for work regularly, I brought earplugs when I flew on a propeller plane. They were noisier on the inside, but maybe they have done something about that.

Depends on how many years back. Perhaps new prop engine planes are better insulated.
I forgot to mention this in my comment but TP aircrafts are STILL noisy asf, when compared to Jet Engines.
