Finding Stars and Constellations: Andromeda

In order the location of the galaxy Andromeda in the sky of a location located at approximately N 44°, W 84° during the month of December around 10 pm, one must keep into consideration the location of the Andromeda galaxy in the sky. This galaxy is situated approximately at azimuth 280°, altitude 58° using the horizontal coordinate system. This means that one has to look west (azimuth 270°) and lift the head to an angle close to 60° with respect to the horizon.

The constellations of Aries and Pisces are close to this galaxy in the celestial sphere as you can see in the picture.
