One thing I have learnt is that most really passionate and talented artists GROSSLY undervalue their work. My mom was one of them - it breaks my heart to this day because she TRULY had what it took to be a 500k per painting artist... she just never saw fit to put a price tag anywhere NEAR that on her work, so she left this realm on the bones of her arse.
