#Telegram has begun testing its advertising solution, which will feature the promotion of sponsored content and bots on its channels. A share will be reserved for channel managers from the revenues obtained.

Telegram, which managed to increase its user base even more when there was a shortage of access for each of its Facebook products such as #WhatsApp and #Instagram, thinks it's time to generate income. The testing phase has begun for #Sponsored #Messages in Telegram.

❓What does Sponsored Messages mean?
#Pavel #Durov, the founder of Telegram, stated that he had to use his own money for the application in the past months and that such a service could be run with costs of several hundred million dollars a year. Telegram, which does not want to sell user data like WhatsApp, wants to use a slightly more anonymous advertising strategy. In this sense, a new solution was presented as Sponsored Messages.

Sponsored Posts on Telegram will only come for channels larger than 1000 users. Apart from the normal messages, sponsored content will also be sent in this way. The managers of the channels where this advertisement is shown will also be able to earn money from this display in a certain way. #Revenue sharing is currently not possible as it is currently in the testing phase. After the foundation of the system is established and the costs are met, sharing will be done. While it is possible to turn off these ads, this may change for subscription-style systems in the future.

There will be no advertisements in personal one-on-one or group conversations. Durov stated that personal communication between people should not be compared with advertisements in any way. For this reason, Telegram's individual messaging section will be prepared ad-free for the foreseeable future. At the same time, all Telegram features that are currently free will remain free. The information obtained on the subject in question is limited to these for now.

I don't use telegram, so I don't know how I would feel about this. Are you a user? If so, how do you feel about this move from a user perspective?
