Spending Half Night at Genting Highland

in Pinmapple4 years ago (edited)

We set out to Genting Highland in the late afternoon from Kuala Lumpur. It took long road to get here but I insisted to make a trip to Genting that is known as Malaysia’s premier hillside station; this Kuala Lumpur mountain peak getaway is Malaysia’s Asian-style Las Vegas. It was getting dark when we arrived at the entrance of Genting. The roads were smooth that gave us no trouble to pass thru. Frankly, that was my first time visiting Genting Highland.

Night came over with a thousand lights. The car drove to the parking lot and ready to set a walk around the resorts. Genting appears to be the city of entertainment, this breezy resorts is also popular with touristy hotels, it has a lot of attractions spots and frequently plays host to a slew of international acts that range from Boyz II Men to Leona Lewis at the Arena of Stars.

After we parked the car, I was asked to have a little walk outside of the building, the air was clear and the lights from the hotel shone brightly. As my friend said, we may not spend much time outside because it was getting cold in next minutes. Fog would cover whole around of this place.

So, we made our way to the second floor. Here I could see the view of the mountain that was already surrounded by the dark. Ahead of us is nightlife and luxury hotels, it features the First World Hotel – which was listed as the world's largest hotel in 2006 by the Guinness World Book of Records.

That's what I am talking about, the thick fog came over and at the moment, this place was going to be white. I was getting cold and we needed another spot to hang out. So, my friend took me to the mall, a luxury spot that offered you a ton of light.

When I was inside, I soon forgot that I was being on top of the mountain. The very pleasant sights that I found here straightly tempted me to stay longer in which I knew, I could see much other stuff that was displayed around this spot.

I don't know how long did it take to build these huge buildings on top of the mountain. Before I came here, I heard a lot about the enchanting places that ease your eyes with views around. However, I slightly regretted coming here at night where I was not able to explore deeper about Genting.

We continued strolling to another resort and as my friend told me that we might see something I never see in my whole life. What is it? Casino. Yes! Genting is mostly known as the heaven for the gamblers. It is called Sky Casino. But before we managed to get there, we should spend little time to enjoy the inside views.

Genting is not only known as the enchanting spot for travelers but it is also known as one of the most popular evening activity venues that were established in 1971 by Resorts World Genting's founder, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, the casino was the first land-based casino in Malaysia, and has continuously attracted thousands of visitors from across the world. Wondering about what happened inside, we decided to come over. Don't get me wrong, I was there just to see the busiest people made a bet on gambling tables. The security approached and they didn't let me in with the camera. So, I had to pay RM 10 for the eye detector locker. What are these people doing outside? Losing in the game? Or waiting for someone? Do duly note that the casino does not allow Malaysian people. Backpacks, electronic gadgets, and cameras are also prohibited at Genting Casino.

I spent around two hours in the casino, not making a bet but I preferred to walk around and watched people playing. I can say, that is the most crowded place I ever see.

After getting tired of watching the game, we came out to have a smoke. Soon I stepped out the cold struck and shivered me so badly. You see the thicker fog blanket all over the place. I went back inside waiting for my friend was done with gambling. An hour before midnight, we left Genting Highland heading back to Kuala Lumpur.
