I do so enjoy all the historical facts you add to the places you visit and share, it takes one meandering into areas never to be seen by most.

Superb photography, architecture supreme, what a pity people don't always respect each others culture and history, keep it safe for generations to come.

Thank you for this amazing content!

South Korea is doing a great job preserving and restoring historic sites.

The Japanese did rearrange Korean society a lot. But fortunately they left the most important buildings intact at the palace. However, had colonialism persisted another generation or two, it would have gotten much worse.

The dynasty the Japanese replaced was pretty bad, too
And even to this day half the country is still living under a horrid regime.

Yesterday was the 70th anniversary of the Korean War which is still unresolved.

Knowing one will never be able to travel to explore, you most definitely bring it to life through visual story telling.

Over the ages regions lose, and/or inherit other nations influence in a variety of ways with colonialism. If not destructive can add to the history, what upsets me some statues, buildings already standing become defaced by ongoing conflict.

One would really think humans could learn from errors of the past, alas we appear to run the hamster wheel of life creating more mayhem all the time.

Beautiful pics I must say. I wish my parents can allow me to travel round the world.

Right now I'll just gaze my eyes on this. I guess they allow tourists right.

right now it is difficult for tourists to visit Korea, but if they are here they are encouraged to vist any day except Monday when the palace is closed to visitors.

I hope you get a chance to see it one day.

I really hope so. The palace in Korea is way different than that of Nigeria where any duplex or bungalow can be referred to as palace.

It was built in the olden days so it's going to be hard for them rebuild due sacred traditions

Korea was very poor until the 1970s. They managed a very successful development and restoration of ancient glory. I hope one day Korea can be an inspiration to all countries.

Like you said it was poor up till the 1970s. It's not that poor now even though there are some parts of it that might still be suffering underdevelopment.

One day, like you hope for, Korea would be an inspiration to all countries. There are some countries that has been over hyped leaving Korea to take the lead someday out of the blues.

It's by that time I'll come bouncing into Korea with my camera for taking pictures.🤣

Which part of Korea are you from?

A beautiful historic place. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I really like going to these types of places (I have a season's pass to Joseon Dynasty Historic Sites, lol)
