It rained pretty much the whole day today... And it kinda sucks... I just spoke with my father on the phone and he was saying that today they had 19 degrees Celsius and plenty of sun in Romania, but here in Austria it was a bit colder and quite rainy.
Saturdays are not the days to stay inside though... I left home at about 11:30 in the morning and basically had no destination at all. However, after a short walk I ended up taking the car and simply driving down the road...
I was planning on heading to Ybbs an der Donau and just have a short walk by the Danube but I kept on driving and about twenty minutes later I was in Grein an der Donau. Which is also on the Danube's shore...
The landscape is majestic, if you ask me and I wish I had some sort of GoPro camera fitted on the car so that I can record the whole drive. It rained for a bit, then it stopped.
When I got there it was pretty much sunny and no rain, but after about half an hour right after I left the town the rain kicked in. I did not visit the whole town or any touristic destination. I just walked along the Danube in the bay and that was enough for me.
My father said that this place looks way better and is more vibrant during summers, but I liked it a lot today as well. It is very beautiful to see the reflections of the hills in the water and the autumn tones covering the forest.
Definitely worth the visit and I am planning on getting there during warmer and sunnier days as well as it is not far away from here.
