Melk Abbey (German: Stift Melk) is a Benedictine abbey above the town of Melk, Lower Austria, on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Danube river, adjoining the Wachau valley, that belongs to the Austrian Congregation.[1] The abbey contains the tomb of Saint Coloman of Stockerau and the remains of several members of the House of Babenberg, Austria's first ruling dynasty.

This is where I've been today. I have not taken a full tour of it because I was in a bit of a hurry...
I left the house hungry and I don't like staying hungry for a long time, but I gotta say the whole abbey is quite majestic.
It seems to be a renowned tourist attraction because there were plenty of English-speaking tourists there, and some Italians. It is not far from where I live and maybe one day I will get there and visit the whole thing on a full stomach.
Sometime in spring most probably because during winter it's all gray and cold and I am not particularly a fan of such times. It even rained for a bit when we arrived there but it was short-lived.
Overall it's been a chill Sunday in my part of the world and hopefully yours was at least as good as mine. So, wishing you all the best and catch you next time.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

Melk Abbey looks like a very historic and beautiful place. I enjoyed reading your simply written experience.
Nice.
I have not been there in years, yet it is within easy reach by train from Vienna, where I live. The entire area of the Wachau is a jewel. I suggest a trip to Dürnstein.
Dürnstein is definitely worth the visit but I will do that in spring. I'd rather get there when everything is green and sunny. It's 60 km away from where I live, thus I can get there and back in one day.
Badass spot man, 😎. Cool yellow colors.
Yep...
