Hoy les quiero compartir un recorrido que hice con mucha nostalgia por una antigua ciudad colonial, ubicada en el extremo occidental de la Isla de Cuba, Pinar del Río ¿Me acompañan?
El sábado tenía un poco de tiempo libre en la tarde, por lo que aproveché y me fui al centro para comprarme un par de lentes nuevos, rapidísimo los encontré, y como el tiempo estaba bien fresco, resultó el momento perfecto para disfrutar de un lindo paseo, además necesitaba ese toque de oxígeno en mis pulmones, salir y despejar la mente.
Para mí disfrute las calles estaban casi vacías y con muy poco tráfico, por lo que el espacio era perfecto para mis fotos...y con esa alegría propia de un niño me fui a caminar como turista acompañada de los recuerdos y la complicidad de mi abuela.
La mayoría de los principales edificios están ubicado en la Calle Martí, y como decimos los pinareños "a subir la calle", porque se trata de un lugar discretamente empinado.

Today I want to share with you a tour I made with a lot of nostalgia for an old colonial city, located in the western end of the island of Cuba, Pinar del Rio, will you join me?
On Saturday I had some free time in the afternoon, so I took the opportunity and went downtown to buy a new pair of glasses, I found them very quickly, and as the weather was very cool, it was the perfect time to enjoy a nice walk, plus I needed that touch of oxygen in my lungs, go out and clear my mind.
For my enjoyment the streets were almost empty and with very little traffic, so the space was perfect for my photos...and with that joy of a child I went for a walk as a tourist accompanied by the memories and the complicity of my grandmother.
Most of the main buildings are located on Martí Street , and as we pinareños say "to climb the street", because it is a discreetly steep place.
Allí después del "malecón" está nuestro querido Teatro Milanés, construido en el 1838, con su sencillo pero hermoso estilo neoclásico y es considerado uno de los 8 más importantes de Cuba, y se escogió entre muchos para filmar un precioso filme cubano, La Bella del Alambra, precisamente por la fidelidad de su interior con la época en que se construyó.
Es un lugar que ignoro habitualmente pero ese día me hubiese encantado verlo por dentro, increíblemente nunca he entrado, ¡que pena, eso me hizo sentir mal!
Y sí te fijas su exterior está pintado de amarillo.

Y no, no lleva el amarillo, está desnudo de colores el Palacio de Gustavo ¿Verdad?

Me encanta mi ciudad, a pesar del aparente abandono....no obstante parece que existe una tendencia discreta en pintar las estructuras más emblemáticas de un solo color. Está vez le tocó al amarillo, aunque no sé si sea la mejor elección, pero hasta la Catedral dejó que los urbanistas decidieran el color de sus exteriores.
Aunque el amarillo se considera un color cálido, luminoso, divertido, de felicidad, inteligente y pragmático...yo hubiera preferido más diversidad de colores, la belleza de los paisajes naturales radica en los contrastes y yo amaría una ciudad llena de luces, ritmos, gente, casas, libros, y pensamientos de varios colores.
Espero que hayas disfrutado como yo el paseo, y aunque quedé exhausta, nunca mejor complacida con el resultado ¿cómo puedes vivir en una ciudad sin realmente conocerla?
