I'm back again! This time, I want to share a story about my next adventure in the currently popular area of ββPIK 2. A few weeks ago, I stopped by a place called "the end of the world in Jakarta," called Land's End PIK 2. Curious, right? Let's read my story! πποΈ
π΅ Journey to the Location!
As soon as I arrived at the Land's End area , the first thing I noticed was the expansive parking lot. It can accommodate hundreds of vehicles, with a neatly arranged and smoothly paved area... But if you're bringing a motorcycle, be prepared, because the distance from the parking lot to the main location is quite a bit, about 500 meters. β βBut don't worry , the walk to the entrance isn't boring at all. Along the way, there are many shady trees providing shade, neatly arranged gardens with colorful flowers and a gentle sea breeze, which will invigorate you before entering the main area. The path has also been specially designed for pedestrians, making it comfortable for walking , so you won't feel tired even though the distance is quite long.
π Historical Traces in the Lobby : Bugis Tribe Map
Upon arriving in the lobby , I was immediately drawn to a rather interesting spot : a large map board bearing the inscription "The Odyssey of Bugis Tribe" displayed majestically on the wall. This board is quite large and features detailed and colorful illustrations , depicting fascinating sailing routes.
This story chronicles the journeys of the Bugis tribe, legendary sailors from the Indonesian archipelago known for their courageous exploration of the oceans to every corner of the world. They were known as skilled navigators , able to read the winds and stars to find the best sailing routes.
This map depicts their voyages from Sulawesi, passing through the Thousand Islands and eventually reaching Southeast Asia, South Asia and even Australia. Each route is marked with lines indicating trade routes for spices and other agricultural products. There's also an illustration of a traditional phinisi ship , an icon of Bugis sailors' pride. β β
It feels so unique , isn't it, that the story of the legendary Bugis sailors is presented in a modern setting like this ? It's like a reminder that our nation's adventurous spirit never dies. I stood in front of this map for quite some time , reading each piece of information and imagining how brave our ancestors must have been to navigate the vast oceans with such minimal technology. πβ΅
πΊοΈ Artistic World Map Floor
Still in the lobby area, right on the floor is a vast and eye-catching world map. This map is painted directly on the floor with a neat technique, covering an area large enough that you can walk on the different continents.
The colors are bright and the detail is exquisite, depicting the various continents in different shades : blue for ocean, green and brown for land. Complete with nautical icons like a large compass rose in the center , a sailing ship underway, a towering lighthouse and sea creatures like whales and fish, adding to the maritime feel.
Standing in the center of this map feels like a true "world explorer" perfect for those who enjoy traveling or photography! Many visitors take photos here in various poses, some pretending to jump between continents, others posing as if they were sailing and many other creative ideas.
ποΈ Entering the Interior : The Iconic "Skydance" Building

βAfter exploring the lobby and capturing moments on the world map floor, I stepped inside. The iconic glass triangle-shaped building called "Skydance" is located right behind the lobby. This building immediately caught my eye with its futuristic and majestic architecture.

βThe design is modern and elegant , with its large glass windows reflecting the blue sky and the moving white clouds, creating a stunning visual illusion. From certain angles, the building seems to blend into the sky, making it feel like we're on a European beach or even a luxury resort in the Mediterranean.

βThe glass structure is arranged with great precision, forming a beautiful geometric pattern. When the sun shines, the reflected light creates a dramatic sparkling effect. And most interestingly , on the front, the words "Life Full of Stars" are emblazoned in a modern, minimalist style.

βFor lovers of aesthetic photography, this is heaven! Every corner is an Instagram-worthy photo spot. The "Life Full of Stars" sign on the front is also enthralling , as if inviting us to dance under a starry sky and celebrate life with joy. The philosophy is profound, reminding us to always be grateful and enjoy every moment. β¨
π΄ Refreshing Tropical and Oceanic Atmosphere

βAfter passing the Skydance area, the journey continues through beautiful corridors flanked by classic white pillars entwined with brown rope , giving a nautical touch. A cream-colored fabric canopy stretches overhead , shielding visitors from the hot midday sun while still allowing natural light to gently stream in.

βThe further one walks, the more the tropical scenery unfolds. There are rows of towering coconut trees with leaves swaying in the breeze , lush casuarinas forming a natural canopy and a neatly arranged wooden boardwalk leading to the beach. This boardwalk is made of wide , sturdy planks, with small gaps between them revealing the white sand below.

βThe sea breeze feels warm on the skin, carrying the distinctive, refreshing scent of sea salt and a hint of seaweed, which adds to the natural feel. The calm sound of crashing waves can be heard from a distance , combined with the chirping of birds and the rustling of coconut leaves, creating the perfect natural soundtrack for relaxation.
What's most appealing is the beach's beautifully landscaped setting. Soft , clean white sand stretches out, with a smooth texture beneath your feet. The calm seawater, with its gradation from light blue at the shore to dark blue in the center , creates a soothing sight.
The beach area is equipped with various facilities for relaxing. There are large, pastel-colored beanbags arranged on the sand, gazebos with thatched roofs providing shade , wooden chairs with soft cushions and large umbrellas for sun protection. Some spots even have hammocks hung between the coconut trees, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the ocean view.
Along the beach , there's also a dedicated path made of artistically patterned wooden planks, making it easy for visitors to walk without getting their feet dirty. This path meanders along the coastline, passing various interesting spots , such as a photo spot with the iconic tall white lighthouse, Land's End , in the background.
This spot is perfect for a relaxing afternoon stroll while enjoying the cool sea breeze, taking pre-wedding photos with an exotic beach backdrop , or simply relaxing on a beanbag while listening to music from a nearby cafe. If you arrive in the late afternoon , you can enjoy the sunset reflecting off the water in a stunning golden orange hue. The atmosphere is magical , like something out of a romantic movie. π

βAdditional Tips : Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a power bank because there will be a lot of photos and come on a weekday if you want a quieter experience.

That concludes my brief account of my adventure at Land's End PIK 2 , a place not only visually beautiful but also steeped in Indonesian culture and history. This destination beautifully blends modernity with traditional Indonesian seafaring values.
