After waking up and having a cold shower then breakfast. Which cost me four bucks in the hotel in staying I started my adventure.
Arriving after an hour or probably less I was unsure of I could continue onwards because of the guard at the gate.
After drinking coffee and asking the barista I rode into the destination.
Uluwatu Temple.
The monkey temple. This was not my intended destination but none the less I was there already and wanted to explore. The temple is sacred and of course there are protocols to follow. If your legs are uncovered you are required to wear a sarong.
I think it cost five bucks entry. While everyone in Bali thinks I'm Indonesian unfortunately when I talk they know I'm foreign. Tourism is a double edged sword. The paths in the temple are picturesque.
These monkeys are cute but they are naughty. I wondered why the sign at the entrance tells you to bit have jewelry and sun glasses. Must be something to do with being modest since after all you are required to wear a sarong before you're allowed into the temple ground.
That is not the case.
These little mischievous monkeys steal from you anything they can grab. I know. I took a photo with my phone off the one with the glasses as I lowered my hand to my side my phone was wrenched off of my hand. Scampering up into the canopy. My bank card and my license in with my phone cruising through the branches. Photos of the event not existing since the monkey failed to take a selfie of itself dismantling my phone case and discarding my cards. Only when the grounds working threw berries to it did it drop my phone. So be warned, tuck your valuables away.
The views.
What I'm looking for.
My plan was to visit this giant statute you can see in Kuta Beach.
You can barely see it in the distance. That jutting figure looming over the trees. So I explored the monkey temple further looking and hoping to find that giant statute. Asking around I was pointed to the giant statute on the temple.
I'm unsure at the time but this was not the giant statute I was looking for. But in the end it is still majestic in it's own right.
I am unsure who they were but of course here is the sign leading to the statute. Must've been some pretty impressive dude in their time.
Well I'm the end I rode back from my adventure to gain experience in riding a bike.
I would be so pissed if they stole my phone 🤣 good thing it didn’t break when they dropped it
The screen protector was peeled off but that is ready to replace. The only thing that really team through my head was my bank card and license.
The little thief really dismantled my phone case.
Oh well guess it's an excuse to get a new one...
It was entertaining in the end since I got it back...
But yeah definitely no longer going to be handling things so relaxed in places like that ever again
Huh, that is why I'm not a fan of placing my cards with the phone cos once you lose your phone, you lose everything. The same thing with my wallet, I separate the money and cards from the IDs cos it's such a hassle to get new IDs lol
Duly noted. I'll have to think of something else soon prior to my Island hopping adventure in Phils
Little bastards
A sight to see Akuma running and trying to retrieve his belongings 😂
I had to jump s few walls to follow it as it scampered away from me. These little guys move fast on the ground and in the trees, kind of wish I had the same agility.
