Hello everybody :)

Before going into further descriptions and details, i want to wish everyone a great new year full of health and success.
With this article, i end the most recent visit made to the picturesque city of Barcelos.
Starting the walk along the famous Rua Direita "Right Street", also known as Rua D. António Barroso, immersed in a vibrant atmosphere, being one of the oldest arteries in the historic center. This pedestrian street is a true paradise for those people more prone to consumerism, especially during the Christmas season, which manifests itself with pulsating energy.

This street crosses several revivalist buildings that tell ancient stories through facades adorned with typical colorful tiles, transforming each wall into a canvas that displays the richness of local tradition, with granite carved into porticoes and large windows that highlight an architectural richness that lasts throughout centuries, many of them with small iron balconies, delicately worked with a touch of elegance.
It is impossible to pass by and not be fascinated by the quality of the architectural details that permeate the history of Barcelos and maintain the intrinsic value of the national heritage.

Alongside all this ancient wealth, we are accompanied by a variety of inviting stores that display their items, creating a visual spectacle for visitors eager for new things. The coming and going of people, the buzz of conversations and the tempting aroma of local coffees create a symphony of life that echoes even in the narrowest of alleys.
This recording was carried out along Rua Direita, taking advantage of the presence to visit some of the places nearby that also offer a very interesting visual record, accompanied by an enriching history, as is the case of the imposing Teatro Gil Vicente, a landmark that resonates with the rich cultural heritage of Barcelos.

The place transcends the simple role of a theater, becoming a vivid testimony to the influence and legacy of the playwright of the same name, probably born in this city, with an eclectic agenda, designed to reach different audiences.
The building's walls echo stories of memorable performances, cultural events and the constant pulse of Barcelos's art scene, with sculpted details that reveal the attention dedicated to preserving the city's artistic richness.
The theater is not just a building, it is a meeting point between art and community, a space where experiences intertwine and narratives unfold.

Leaving the Theater behind and advancing through the cobblestone streets, we will reach the picturesque Largo do Apoio, which, according to what i read somewhere, seems to be the first square in the region, a small square with an atmosphere charged with the authenticity of its antiquity, with an architecture typically medieval that envelops the space.
The central highlight of this square is the majestic Renaissance fountain that adorns its center, offering a unique vision of the fusion between Renaissance grandeur and medieval simplicity.

Among those houses that surround the small square, the imposing House of Constable D. Nuno Álvares Pereira stands out, one of the most striking figures in Portuguese medieval history.
The architectural details reveal the skill of the artisans who shaped these structures over the centuries.

That´s all for today :)
Hope you like it.
